| okr said: @twesterm: I'm an old-fashioned stereo hifi guy and actually planned to use the TV's sound, as I'd rather kill myself then buy a 5:1 soundsystem or whatever they're called, but the TV's sound was so horrible that I ended up buying a Denon soundbar (no one buys soundbars that's why I got one cheap). Problem solved. BTW: As far as I know the Sharp LCDs with LED backlight are the cheapest at the moment with this technology (they use Full LED instead of Samsung's Edge LED or the expensive local dimming LED). Hm, I'm throwing terms around as if I knew anything about it...actually I don't... ...but anyway: Very low power consuming compared to "usual" LCD TVs, excellent picture/contrast and the suicide of my 11 year SDTV at the right time (i.e. close to PS3slim release) convinced me to buy one with this new LED techonology for 900 €. |
