And it's... weird?

I went into a vs. CPU match, wandered around the 3D environment and attacked what looked like a monster-spawn point of some kind and caused no damage.  Eventually, my opponent found me and I attacked him, appearing to damage his own individual life bar, but not affecting the large life bar at the top of the screen.  I then lost sight of him and was informed that "Master Ghost Under Attack", at which point my life bar began to gradually drain.  I wandered around until I found another one of those monster-spawn point things that I now realized were of my enemy's alignment (as the first one I had attacked was mine), and tried to break it.  I failed.  Soon after, my life bar was depleted and the match ended.

I guess "incomprehensible" is a better description.

Guilty Gear fans, PREPARE YOURSELF for... confusion?

No fellow Guilty Gear fans anxious to preview this bizarre perversion of the franchise? How sad...

Okay, further playtime has revealed the game to be some sort of 3D beat-em-up/RTS hybrid. It's difficult to figure how to play without understanding Japanese, but it looks like there are control points from which you can spawn troops and mount an offensive against your opponent's control points and eventually their base (or "Master Ghost"). What does this have to do with the rest of the Guilty Gear series, other than the involvement of Sol and (I think) Chipp? I have no idea...
