Forums - Gaming - Guitar Hero III Bugs

I was playing through Guitar Hero 3 yesterday, when I got to Slipknot's "Before I Forget". Now, I love this song, and I was really looking forward to playing it, but when it started, it was out of sync. Kind of like the lead and bass parts weren't matched up and it sounded absolutely horrible.

Anybody else have any issues so far?

Oh, in case it's relevent, I have the Wii version.

The analog stick on my Wii Guitar is backwards along one axis. Depending on which way I hold the guitar, either the left/right is backwards or the up/down is. I haven't come across any bugs in the game yet (but I haven't played through all the songs yet).

The song sounds horrible either way ;)

I'm pretty sure it's the way it's supposed to be.  If you wear the guitar right-handed and face your TV, if you push the stick to the left, the cursor goes left.  If you pull the stick upward towards you, the cursor goes up.  It's designed to be used while facing away from you, not facing toward you like the analog stick on the nunchuk.

You're right, that is how it's supposed to go. I usually have the guitar in my lap though when I'm navigating the Wii menu, so I've never controlled it with the guitar in that position. *Smacks head*

That sounds like an annoying bug.

Compared to the PS2 guitar or any other system's guitars, how is the Wii guitar in general?

My only complaint so far was I turned it on with the whammy bar pressed in, and it wouldn't function, so I had to reconnnect it to work. Otherwise, mine seems to be fine.

I was playing my Wii GH3, doing some online co-op with a homie on the east coast, and it froze a couple times. Well, for him it said he lost the connection with Rubang B. On my end the whole thing froze. It just stopped moving, and making this super high pitched steady tone that drove me insane. I was on the phone with him, and on his end it said I was still online and he could invite me to a new game and everything, but I wouldn't get any of this. Power and reset wouldn't work either. I had to unplug it, plug it back in, and load it up again.

Offline though, no problems so far, but I've only gone through the first 3 venues.

Oh wait, my whammy bar didn't work for the first hour. Then it just magically started working. It moved, but the game couldn't tell for the first hour or so. I guess it was stiff on the inside.

I almost forgot about this. It happened to me too.
