No none will beat wow.

Erm like none lol.

Kylie with a cheap shot at something popular I thought I'd never see the day.

WoW's successor.

Heh. I don't know whether it's funnier that someone created this thread or that people think Final Fantasy even has a chance to put a dent in WoW's numbers, much less top it.

On topic, I'll take "No chance in hell" for $1,000, Alex.

Wait, you honestly think any of those stand a chance against World of Warcraft?

Oh man... anyway, that's not to say they won't be better games, but none of those will beat WoW in its current state.

yea b/c WOW killed itself. No the only one that will beat it is the Old republic MMO

None of them, easily. To get to the size of WoW, pretty much everyone has to have at least heard of it. I've only even heard of a few of these, and none of them seem to have the muscle behind them, except for maybe FF14. However, FF11 didn't come near WoW, so I don't expect 14 to either. If anything, I think 14 will suffer badly, as some won't move on from 11, and those who do will probably close their FF11 accounts, resulting in more cost for the servers, but not increasing long-term revenue significantly.

LOL...none of those. I'm in the beta for Star Trek Online and it's going to be a great game, but I don't see of them making anything more than a minor dent on WoW. I thought SW:TOR looked good, but from what I've seen so far...it's a complete meh to me.

You definitely forgot Guild Wars 2 in that OP... scheduled release date for 2010-2011. NCSoft has ststed that they have sold 7 Million units of the game. As a game to overtake WoW.... I think in most cases the people who actively play that game won't leave it anyway until Blizzard makes another MMO.

I'm not exactly sure though if those "7 million units" are all players, or if its just 7 million campaigns sold, which could equal to no less than 7mil/4campaigns
