Basically, it won't turn on at all. 

I was playing modern warfare, then turned off the system/controller like I normally do to go eat some dinner. After I came back, I tried to turn on my ps3 using the controller, but the controller didn't even blink it's red lights at all. I'm 500% sure that I fully charged it today, and it still had 2/3 bars when I turned it off to eat dinner. 

Any suggestions at all??? I really don't have any money so I won't be able to buy another controller :(

try plugging it in and pressing the reset button on the back. (you need a pin like object to push the button)

Try to reset it, start with it plugged it, clean it, or smack it untill it works. If all fails, Craigslist is your best friend.

Edit: your battery may be dead, call Sony and they should be able to replace it if it's under warranty.

@ a bad clown, i bought it from gamestop a year ago though so how would they know about the warrenty?

My controller did that too during the summer, for some odd reason it randomly worked a week or 2 later... I'm using it now!

I have had a controller do this as well. Would not turn on, or go through the charge cycle when plugged into my PS3. To solve this, I hooked it into my computer to charge and it came right on. Worked perfectly since (had about a year or so after the problem)

Now that I recall, my friend told me he did this when his controller stopped working and it worked for him also, you should definately try this.

i have like 3 controllers so yeah, but if its your only one then omg, go to ebay or sumthing, buy another one just incase, you can never have too many controllers *except for maybe 8 lol

I just read if you registered it with Sony you can get it replaced for free, try to call them up when you can.

Strange.

The exact same thing has happened with my work colleague earlier in the week. He can only use it while it's plugged in and charging which is unpractical considering how damn short the wire is. He has only had his slim for around a month now.
