I just hated Full Metal Alchemist anime but manga is awesome...Shaman king also done..And Inuyisha and Ranma.

Have you tried Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood? I neither liked the original FMA anime mut Brotherhood is awesome. It follows manga a lot more closely than the original. I would also recommend Darker Than Black anime. It has some gore, pretty good story and neat characters. Baccano is also really good.

Not exactly an expert, but Yu Yu Hakusho is my favorite anime ever.

I also like Shurato, Dragon Quest: Dai no Daibōken and Gundam Wing.

Yeah, I haven't watched any new stuff.

If you like humor, that can be perverted, with some action scenes then I think you would like desert punk. There are only 24 episodes, but I enjoyed it.
