Fable 3 is going to do 4 million, imho, so no, I don't think FF13 will come anywhere close to that...I estimate it's going to be the same for it cataching Fable 2 as well. It might do 1.5 to 2.5 million, but I doubt anymore than that.

My initial prediction for FF13 on 360 was 1.2m - 2.2m. After looking at early pre-order figures, I might adjust the maximum down a little bit. Since right now in Americas pre-orders the 360 version sells a little bit less than 70% of what the PS3 version sells. But keep in mind that the hardcore FF fanboys are going to skew the preorder results. And hardcore FF fanboys are more likely to be PS3 fanboys (hence the massive temper tantrums after FF13 went multiplat). There are going to be plenty of mainstream gamers (gamers who don't usually play jrpgs but will play Final Fantasy in between their CoD and Halo) who will buy FF13 on 360 after its out. Final Fantasy may be a guilty pleasure of japanophiles but FF is not only in the domain of Japanophiles despite the heavy j-aesthetic of the games (I don't know if that makes sense. FF13 doesnt have animu or super deformed graphics but it has some sort of distinctive J style to the art. The Nomura style). You know the everyday regular college guy with the 360? Plenty of guys like that have played FF7 and FFX on the PS2. The meatheads and fratboys not so much but I've known some meatheads in my time who loved FF7 and FFX.

Most fans will buy FF13 for PS3. Consider it will first be available exclusively on PS3 in Japan this year. And instead of waiting for it until next year, hardcore fans will just import it.

You have FF13 on the PS3 outselling Fable II by 1 million or so.  And across all platforms by around 2 million.  How huge is FF13 if this is the case?

Little bigger than FFXII but smaller than FFX. FFXIII will sell less in Japan than FFXII but little more in west imo. Huge numbers for JRPG game.

I see Fable III doing over 4 million and FF XIII 1.5 million.
