Eidos has told IncGamers that development on Thief 4 is coming along in “leaps and bounds”.

“Let me reassure you that the team is making leaps and bounds,” Eidos Montreal bossman Stephane D’Astous told the site.

“Personally i have NEVER seen a team, at this milestone (middle of pre-production) in such good shape!”

D’Astous added that fans of the franchise “will NOT be disappointed with Thief 4.”

Does this mean it will be out in 2010? Possibly be revealed at E3?

Edit: Yay, the site is alive again. I thought Eidos Montreal (Square-Enix Montreal?) was working on Deus Ex 3. I'll take either of them, as long as they make it awesome.

they work on both games. i hope it will be realy good cause lately there wasn't a single good action game that took place in the past(at least the past without guns, cars, flamethrowers and skimpy bikinis), at least for me(even when i tried Assassins Creed 2 it kinda felt like a chore than a fun game)

I haven't played the previous thiefs, was it any good? Because I am really interested with the game.

Thief 2 comes highly recommended if you like sneaking around, exploring, and collecting loot. It's the absolute pinnacle of stealth games.

From what I understand, Thief 3 had some design issues.

Deus Ex and Thief are awesome franchises, I cant wait! Since Thief 2, i just haven't experienced the same stealth greatness and I miss it!

The Thief games offer the best stealth gameplay in existence.
