PS3 is doing a bit better than Xbox last year at the same moment. Also Japanese will see a lot more PS3 sale. We can certified its going to sale more than 3.2 Million. I would guess anywhere from 3.5M to 4.5M if its not sold out everywhere.

4 million is very much likely so 3.5 split between NA and others while Japan the rest.

dec 13th = 678k

dec 20th  = 872k

dec 27th = 729k

I seriously don't see the PS3 doing more than those numbers. I think equal or a little less.

My point is that right now PS3 is selling more than Xbox last year at the same time (october-november). So there is reason to think that it would also sale a little more in december. And it will also gonna sale more in Japan with the release of FF13 and the PS3 being the IT thing there.

I guess you haven't checked this week's numbers yet, the PS3 has already fallen behind the 2008 360 this week, and I expect that to contune until FFXIII comes out. But so many of you are expecting so much from FFXIII.

@Hus, the 360 is still beating the ps3 in NA, so i don't expect insane numbers in that territory. The PS3 will do well in Others and Japan and sell well enough in NA.

Recovering economy + FF XIII = Much better sales for PS3 this year.

So what happens if it sells more than expected? nothing exept we get the typical "it was expected" comment and sum "but ps3 losses money weather it sells lower or higher than expected ppl will still hate.
