Well, when buying any kind of eletronical device we know that we some time there will be another one. Be glad that with console gaming this time is 6-7 years. And HDTV sets that are updated yearly?

This is just rumors guys, you never actually know :\

I hope you're not going to study Language

BRUHAHA!!!

no i ain't i am studying computing so i could work for bungie, microsoft, sony etc... in game development and i am not gonna show any pics since you are being mean lol just joking but hopefully one day i could work for bungie or something like that....

sorry! but you have to admit it was funny!

but seriously now, from a PS3 owner to a XBOX owner: good luck in realizing your dream!

I'm sorry that was mean!

If you manage to get a job in gaming then you can rub it in my face, because:

-I have fantasized about working for a dev since I was 12(11 years now)

-I guess I'm clever enough. Have a degree in Maths and can do some programming

-Problem is I live in South Africa, so there's absolutely no hope for me. Going to study law now so as soon as I start then that's the end of my lifelong dream

:(

So when you work on Halo7 or whatever, and you get an email asking for a job and a greencard then you can GIVE ME THE FINGER

LULZ

already got a visa to canada so next year I will go to university :P.

Be prepared for many headbashing against the wall moments. Programming is extremely frustrating. Enjoy spending countless hours searching for bugs in your code only to realize you created an infinite loop.

As for going into gaming, ouch, even worse. You may think it will be enjoyable but honestly I have heard from countless programmers that say it is far more frustrating than satisfying. As for the prestige, as someone graduating in less than a year, I applaud what they can do these days with games; it is astonishing.
