PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

So you take the biggest entertainment  launch of all-time for any medium and try to spin it as the norm?

I also used AC2 as an example... but let's just ignore that. And it say a whole lot about "the biggest entertainment launch of all time" is on the HD consoles. It shows the selling power the HD consoles really have. The Wii wouldn't get anywhere near that with the same amount of users (Just a tad less) But hey... lets just close our eyes instead.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Nintendo is forecasting a drop due to a lack of first party titles this year, the third parties that are on Wii put out mostly really bad titles, regardless of year, so its a totally different issue for why they are losing, in fact this year they had the chance to grab a bunch of profit, with Nitnendo not brining its game, a third party could have stepped up and stole the show, but none did, now Nintendo is back with NSMB Wii, which is selling great and pushing hardware



 

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Funny you say that in a thread about Wii's 3rd party support focusing towards HD... Funny you say that when HD has over 50% market when this time last gen Ps2 had 70% market... I can plug my ears and close my eyes too.

Market share doesn't result in profits, right now, the Nintendo market is making big profits, while the HD market is not, one is healthy and the other is unhealthy

and... whats the first to get cut? The Wii... why? probablly because it isnt a cash in like most people think. But lets ignore the fact 3rd parties don't see it viable and thats why they are putting their major releases on the HD systems.
