I don't think that will happen. More likely the retaliation each time will be 1/10th of what it was because pirates will run out of money to buy more consoles or will be discouraged and not want to risk losing more money.

well... not with the one i already bought... They dont have the right to restrict functions on an item i have purchased, that was not the agreement at the time of my purchase.

Yes it was. By purchasing you AGREE to the terms of use/terms of service. By signing up for LIVE you agree to the terms of use/terms of service. It is explicitly defined in both the manuals that come with the Xbox 360 and the signing up process when you are creating a LIVE account.

I ask you this. IF you were to own a company that made consoles. And another company were to make something that worked on your console. Without having it tested by you, and without paying you a penny.Which could also be used to cheat. What would you do?

What monopoly. Companies can still make memory cards for the 360, they just have to be the same size as the MS memory cards. There is no monopoly when others can participate in the market.

lol the manual is inside the box... kinda hard to read the manual without purchasing the xbox. I only agreed to what the salesman told me when i purchased the 360, which was "enjoy your console". Modding a console is perfectly legal in my country, although pirating is not...

Yes and if you open the box, and disagree with the terms you do not have to use it and you can return it. That is the same with all electronics.
