More chance of a Mario game having a proper story
| Euphoria14 said: OP asked if Nintendo is ever going to "MAKE" an M rated title. Geist was MADE by N-space, the devs of titles like Marvel Ultimate Alliance and Winter. Eternal Darkness was MADE by Silicon Knights. Creators of Too Human. Neither of which was MADE by Nintendo I believe. Publishing a game is not the same as what the OP is asking. |
So did Microsoft or Sony ever make an M rated title?

Lol @ the 'older people only like games rated m or above' idea. The beauty of Nintendo is that they can makes games for adults without simply putting tits in the proximity of guns and blood.
NSMB is aimed mostly at those who played SMB1,2,3,W (ie very minimum of 20), which is certainly an older audience than an FPS game
Brain Training, Wii fit and the like are all aimed more at older gamers
The OP mixing up the meanings of "rated M for mature" and "appealing for mature adults" is pathetic.

I'm a part of that "older crowd", and i find most M rated games immature and uninteresting...
Many Nintendo games are maybe rated E, but in fact, they can please anyone, just like a Pixar or a Studio Ghibli movie... and if Nintendo makes another M rated game, i may be interested, or not: it will depend on style, story, and quality (even if for that last point, i'm not feelin worried)...
I've liked Eternal Darkness, a fantastic game in every sense, but i haven't cared about Geist, and Dynamic Slash doesn't seem like a game for me, so... wait and see till the next one... but with Sin and Punishment 2 and Metroid Other M around the corner, two "really" mature games, there's no need to hurry anyway, i'll have my dose... :)

"A beautiful drawing in 480i will stay beautiful forever...
and an ugly drawing in 1080p will stay ugly forever..."
Will Microsoft ever stop paying people to publish games for them?
The answer: No.
At least Nintendo has original software.
GETTIN' CHRONOCRUNK
Internally: no
Subsidiary: maybe
Contracted: already have, and they'll continue to
I think they should make some M-rated games but make it enjoyable and not repetetive like other M-rated games out there.

Correct, though SK was 2nd party for Nintendo during the GC, at least at the time of Eternal Darkness, which means that the IP was a Nintendo IP that SK was put on for development. Sort of like how Retro makes Metroid Prime, but Nintendo owns the IP
