Forums - Gaming - The impossible has happened...Uwe Boll made an excellent movie, No joke...

I am still in somewhat of a shock as I am posting this.

Just like anyone else out there, I thought Uwe Boll films were complete garbage...other than Far Cry which was an ok low budget action flick. However, I was invited to watch a movie called Rampage directed by Uwe Boll. I thought it was based on the Midway arcade and console game by the same name so I had to see what the hell he made here.

All I can say is holy crap guys. This movie is not based on a videogame but a Uwe Boll written and directed original movie. It is one of the best movies I've seen in the last 6 months. Its violent as hell, contraversial but you will not be able to look away. Trust me, you will stay till the end to see the credits in order to check that Steven Spilberg wasn't an assistant director or something...

If you liked Natural Born Killers and you like to see movies that push the boundaries, by all means check this movie out. Few more movies like this and Kojima will be calling Boll to direct MGS movie.

Look, there's no way I will ever forgive him. No way.

Hmm...maybe it will pop up on Netflix for instant watch.

lol...I dont see why not. He took B and C rated games and made them in to D rated movies. I dont think he ruined a single AAA franchise.

He didn't ruin resident evil, street fighter, doom, Max Payne...etc. Hate those guys!

I mean...alone in the dark, bloodrayne, postal...not really amazing games to begin with.

Valid point.

I'll believe it when I see it.

But if its actually any good then all that shows me is that he shouldn't be wasting his time on game to movie adaptations that very rarely work.

But I want my time back.

I'm not surprised...
Just because he has one good movie doesn't mean its going to be a trend.
The SyFy channel occasionally has a good movie, but the majority of them still suck regardless.

It is playing in obscure artsy theaters right now so it probably won't hit netflix for another 3-4 months when it will prolly come on to DVD as well. The press will most likely completely ignore it as its quite contraversial. Even fox news wont wanna touch this...lol

True. But I think when a director who has made bad and really bad movies makes a good movie...its worth noting no?
