hold the power button down for three seconds, it'll auto-configure the ps3 to your tv's display.

additionally try messing with the tv settings.

u sure the HDMI cord didnt crap out?.... try using a different HDMI cord

I have a 40 gig got it 2 years ago and though my play time varies based on whether or not i have new games, i'd say i play it for a 5-8 hrs average. but been playing it more recent due to uc2 and r&c: acit
