Forums - Microsoft - MS's lack of a killer bundle for the holidays

I'm actually surprised that MS hasn't done more than offer the $100 giftcard thing at walmart.  Perhaps i'm missing something, or is MS really going to be giving us its first 3rd place (dud) holiday in terms of HW sold?

Didn't *just* that $100 gift card significantly increased sales?

Didn't we have almost no warning before that deal?

Doesn't that mean there could be something we don't know about?

I think they have an elite bundle in Europe that has Forza 3 and MW2, so that sounds to me like a hell of a bundle. If they brought that over here to the USA it would fly off of the shelves. It's still early so I would imagine it will heat up the closer we get to Christmas time, give it a chance.

I think 360 will do well this holiday.the walmart thing was limited supply.but with the elite bundle.the modern warfare 2 bundle, the pro,and the entry level arcade 360 has alot of options to push hardware, games like mw2 and assassins creed 2 will also help boost sales.

yeah, sure, twesterm....we had a good couple of weeks with the 360 but it's gonna come down greatly now if nothing else is in the works. I'd rather MS just quit it with the flash sales kind of events and be more competitive with its pricing as in a LT kind of cut.

Halo ODST is to 360 what Uncharted is to PS3.

MW2 is essentially tilted towards the 360 in the states and probably others.

And they still have the cheapest HD console. Not to mention all of the leaked black friday ads and bundles MSFT have better packages at the most stores.

They cant just do a huge price slash every year. Each company kinda has their one biggie (NSMB, Uncharted and Halo) The holidays arent decided by killer apps, its price, catalog and value of packages and in this sense, MSFT is sitting in just as good of a position as anyone, imo.

They had nothing to do with the gift cards :P

So far they seem to have the vest bundle offer. Six games is a huge draw during the holidays.
