I think it depends on how much you game I guess and how hyped you get for titles. I find that at my older age, I just don't care for hype all that much anymore and I have other interests besides gaming that take up my time. You want me to name the upcoming 2010 titles I'm truly hyped for (and 2010 is a big year)? Ace Attorney Investigations, Last Window, EA MMA, Crackdown 2. I just don't care anymore (about the hype machine). I even took a long break from gaming (aside from the occassional gaming) for awhile. To me, fun is fun and fun games are a dime a dozen. I might be missing some from the top of my head. But I think that's pretty much it. I just want a way to take a load off with all the stress we have to deal with and to take us back to more carefree times. It says a lot about how materialistic our society is when they think that not having a particular game because it's on another console is going to make them unhappy. I just don't get the hype anymore. I even took a long hiatus from gaming after the PS1. I pretty much skipped last gen for the most part.
