Forums - Sony - Will sony make it out of this recession?

OP must live under a bridge :eyeroll:

(psst, troll joke)

The Halo francise is the most overrated bland game to ever hit the console market. It provides a bad name to all FPS that even showed effort at creating an original entertaining plot.

I probably have more ps3 games than you :/

A quarter of GDP growth based on government injected stimulus doesn't end a recession.

Not to mention all the cost cutting, otherwise known as job cuts.

When unemployment ticks up a couple points, then I'll believe the recession is over.

Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.

Correct, same problem the world over, when the governments stop propping up the economies we will see if thos economies can fly solo.... we will know by the end of Spring.

Governments will always prop up the economies, subsidies for food, gas and you name it is what keeps us afloat. If you mean that the government will prop the economy up less, then I'm with you.

the recent/current stimulus from the governments is off the scale.... this isnt normal "propping up" that is going on

Agreed. As much as I hate to agree with a limey. . .

Of course they will prop it up less. To take the US (since that's what we were talking about), no way they can have $2 trillion deficits for a long time.

Spring is a little early to tell, since one they are already talking more stimulus and two the current stimulus hasn't really finished working its way through yet, Obama is talking about trying to cut spending, but I doubt he'll get far with that, no one wants a repeat of 1937.

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

I don't see how any government can maintain a debt load of 250% GDP. Japan is in deep trouble.
