I dont think he ever beats his games... The best parts are usually near the end (heavenly word).

That's the way I usually prefer my games, gradually more impressive with some big bangs along the way and cherry on the pie at the end. Keeps my interest tuned and pushes me to go on without losing interest.

According to IGN: "story is strong and ends with closure and a cliffhanger (figure that one out)"

That's a pretty bad excuse really.

MikeB comes close to hitting the real point.  If you have to play 98% of the game before you get to "the best parts" then the game has failed.  100% of the game should be awesome but that's an almost unrealistic ideal especially considering what one considers "the best part" may not be the same as another.

Dallinor, thanks for clearing that up. I do hate saying things that aren't true. So you can completely ignore the new computer portion, and I'm quite glad they had that in. I retract that complaint.

Zackblue, I played Heavenly sword to completion, 5 hours, gave it a 6/10. You don't like the score? That's nice. I would like to complete Ratchet and Clank, but that won't happen for a week or two. I'm not adverse to changing my scores, but I can't see it getting any higher. My scores are a very simple scale: How much fun did I have playing overall? That means, games with amazing graphics don't automatically get 2 points up, but games with graphics so bad they mess up the game lower the score. Odd how that makes sense in my mind.

I also hated Gears of War, I'm not a fair reviewer of it. Just like I'd rip apart Gran Turismo because a game where I hold x and turn left for 40 hours isn't appealing to me because I do not get an erection over cars, a game with 6 different button presses to jump over an obstical and controlling a half tank half shopping cart hybrid who can aim perfectly well with 1 hand but can't shoot while walking is not my game to play.

See Ya George.

@fuzzmosis

I never said I didint like the score, just said you should complete the game before reviewing.

 2008 end of year predictions:

PS3: 22M

360: 25M

wii: 40M

Shrug, time constraints. When you don't own a PS3, live in the middle of nowhere, and have no free time Monday to Friday, weekends are my socializing time. So I visit people, talk, be merry, and then play PS3. I still intend on finishing it. I've said that 3 times now.

I loved Heavenly Sword--hated Lair though...but back on topic...

In Eye of Judgment, the fortresses CAN'T attack--they can only counterattack. (That's why it never attacks when you point it in the right direction)
Anyhow, I love this game. I didn't have any of the lag or lengthy wait problems you were having, and have had no problems creating "custom" games. Addictive & really reminds me of the old school days playing Magic the Gathering.  I have had some problems with the camera reading cards, but I think it's the lighting conditions for the most part.  I put another light in my gaming room, and it seems to read everytime now (which it does suck having to have a room really bright to play a game).

Ratchet & Clank I can't really speak for though. I've only played the demo (which was good), but I'm not a huge fan of platformers.

Well, I now only have access to a PS3 & 360...Plan on buying a wii soon (lol, if I can ever find one available!) but will probably wait until some of the major RPG's come out like Dragon Quest & Tales, etc.

Anyhow, I'm so far behind in games to play that I'm not in a huge hurry (lol, haven't even gotten a chance to finish God of War II yet!)
