I read a few months ago on VGC that some of the wii games will be making their way to the hd twins. So it begins eh?I wonder if Muramasa will be ported too.

I'd love for that to happen. Just so people realize how niche the game actually  is and don't blame the Wii for any poor sales they may have  thought it had because of the Wii or Nintendo.

That's an interesting point. Not regarding Muramusa, but with No More Heroes. If this goes on to sell pretty well on the HD consoles, it's going to bring up questions on the validity of violent games that aren't well known IPs being on the Wii.

Quite true, but if does around the same amount, do you think it would benefit the Wii's view in that aspect. So it really is a "stay the same - lose" situation. I really don't see it outselling the Wii version on both consoles, let alone one. So I guess we will have to wait and see.

There's no way the Wii gains any advantage if this game fails. It will just be one less example used, and will probably be excused away for being a late port, just like GTA: Chinatown Wars. However, if this finds success on the HD consoles, like 700K-1M, then the media and forums aren't going to let it slide at all.

Nah.  It won't be excused as a late port.

It will be used as "Proof" that Wii games suck since the HD hardcore base didn't buy the "best" hardcore Wii game.

Info from someone who apparently has the scans.

NMH
-Advance Mode added
-Japanese dubbing added (Nakano, Daizuka, Kurota, Konishi, Takanori? don't know Japanese VAs, will look it up in a sec)
-Erotic Portrait added
-February 25, 5,800 Yen

Sounds like they're trying to appease the JP market...makes me think the game won't release over here. If it's true of course.

They're going to release a game that originally bombed in Japan... in only Japan?

No More Heroes sold above average world wide... but it's japanese sales were a letdown.

If anything they'll just "cut out" the "Erotic Portrait" thing....

Though eh... probably won't even do that.  It's Suda afterall... if you'd played Killer 7 you'd know that his games don't shy away from sexual stuff... even really distrubing sexual stuff.

LoL, didn't get it on the wii, but if they do a decent job on the port, and perhaps fix some of the issues which wii owners criticised, then I may just pick this game up for the PS3...so glad these developers opened their eyes XD

i think they will price it just like Santa Monica did with the GoW Collection. (49-55$/Eur/30-35GBP)

After all, Heroes Paradise is just a remake.

Suda games always have awful visuals so while they will be better in HD it will still look rather bad compared to most HD games.

Suda games NEVER sell that great, they are always cult hits and NMH was his most successful creation according to him that is why it got a sequel on Wii.
So don't be surprised when this does not sell all that great, his games sold bad on PS2 and DS and other more popular systems.
Any of you played his Silver case series on PS2 and DS?

Suda is so awesomely insane he makes Kojima look boring and sane.
I mean this man got inspiration for this game while taking a shit and watching the movie El Topo.

You either get suda and is insanity or you don't and most don't.
It may sell better than the Wii version but I doubt by much if at all.
I think most Wii owners who bought it only went to it because it was a bloody M rated game on Wii,on HD they have plenty of that and much more polished and mainstream oriented games.

maybe some wii owners brought the game because its M Rated, i brought the game because it looked fun, plus our Australian version never had the gore lol, and i still play it to this day, i love the game, the humour and story twists in the game are great fun

if this is the same as the original game i wont have interest in it,

Well, they could sell more of it now on PS3 in Japan, could easily outdo Wii numbers. But still pointless, if they'll bring it overseas it's likely to bomb, unless heavily supported by advertising.

Wow, over 100 posts and nobody said this yet. The parallels are so obvious.

No More Heroes: Reflex Edition

Anyway, doesn't seem like it would be as much fun without the motion controls, but at least more people will get to play it. Those cell phone parts were just so awesome, and the wrestling. I just can't see it being the same experience.

"Now, a fun game should always be easy to understand - you should be able to take one look at it and know what you have to do straight away. It should be so well constructed that you can tell at a glance what your goal is and, even if you don’t succeed, you’ll blame yourself rather than the game. Moreover, the people standing around watching the game have also got to be able to enjoy it." - Shiggy
