Forums - General - Just saw the Sarah Palin on Oprah interview

Palin is one of the current frontrunners for the GOP 2012 nomination, if she runs, I'll donate, every dollar to her will be like 10 dollars to Obama

^Well I'm only half serious, but I mean c'mon, you can't tell me that Obama wouldn't mop the floor with Palin in the general election

The only people i hear saying that are democrats.  I think they just want her to be a frontrunner.

I've never actually heard a republican say it was even remotely possible.

^According to Gallup it is

She's tied with Romney among the GOP, Huckabee is a bit ahead of both

Well that's just... sad.

Why is Newt Gingrich behind Sarah Palin?

I mean, morally he was wrong... but he was head of congress during the Clinton era... and i thought was looked on favorably legislative wise.

Also, I find it funny that more people would consider voting for her then people who think she's qualfied.  Even if you assume everyone who thinks she's qualfied would vote for her (unlikely even for someone as polarizing as her) it means 2% of the people might vote for her even if she's seen as unqualfied.

I mean... I think she's qualified.  She was govonor so she has executive expierence... wouldn't vote for her though.

^ Guess some people just like her stances so much they can overlook whether she is qualified

Still I'm glad the GOP field is filled with such poor candidates, I was worried they'd get smart and bring someone like Crist or Powell to go against Obama

If Newt can win the primary, he would be the first good (not great) prez we have had in many many years.

If he wins the primary, he beats Obama (and I predicted Obama the winner when he announced he was going to run).

I have a hard time thinking Newt can win the promaries however. Let's hope I am wrong about that one.
