it means they refuse to change any settings, if its prompted to change the brightness before the game starts theyll change the brightness if not theyll complain on how dark it is.


I'm too used to graphics cards coparisons where they play the game in a variety of settings. I.e. changing resolution or AA.


I guess it's too much to do both an out of box and also a best settings comparison.


Also do they describe where they get some of the clips from and what they're of? In some cases PS3 has more tearing and some cases X360 have more tearing... but what's more important is how much time you spend in each environment.

one of the things youd think a suposedly professional company would do is take the best settings of both along with out of the box, most people adjust their tv when they change systems anyway so i dont get the point, the review was from http://www.lensoftruth.com/ and all their ps3 pics are washed out because they dont use full RGB. but they really dont describe the process in full detail...

Anyway, this lens of truth stuff always seems gray and washed out on PS3. They made the 360  pics look beautiful upon comparison. I hope this is just a poor calibration of the settings for the PS3 version as I will most likely be getting this game.

I have found these guys to be fairly accurate on their comparisons. Heck, they are like one of three groups that even do frame rate and tear analysis.  As for color and capture methods they post all details in their faq page. And lastly, one of the staff posted regarding the global average numbers:

"I’m glad someone brought this up! Something we’re working on is the display of the statistics. What you’re looking at is a “weighted” average. Basically, the tearing in longer clips means more than the tearing in the shorter clips.

Do you find this more useful? Or would you prefer an “unweighted” average where the FPS and tearing of each clip are considered equal?"

Mr. 2 posts can see it by himself/herself. Especially head2head articles about batman and bionic commando comes to my mind first. I don't really care which console has better graphics or anything, but I do care when people lie outright. Well, that comes usually with bias and thats actually quite annoying.
