"They will know heghan belongs to the helghast"

"England expects that everyman will do his duty"

"we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender"

I was beginning to think that the franchise is starting to slow also, mainly due to over-saturation and CoD stealing some of it's thunder.

But, Halo still has a long way to go until it's a Crash Bandicoot.

Halo: Reach will sell a s*** load of copy because it has it's own multiplayer (aka the main selling point of Halo 3). ODST didn't have it's own multiplayer & Halo Wars only appeals to RTS fans.

definitely.......... odst only sold 2 somethin million first week -_-"

5 games down and 1 on the way isn't that many. FF has 12 main games out, 2 on the way and 50(ish?) spinoff games. That seems more like saturation to me, yet the games are still fairly popular in some circles.

Depends. I think a lot of people are pretty down on Halo, either because of console allegiance, wanting to be on the Halo hate bandwagon, or simply haven't cared for the game that much. Bungie puts out a really good game, and the Halo universe is interesting to me. Since Halo 3 was the first one I played, I'm personally not sick of it yet. But, people play the hell out of those games, and I can see getting sick of those games.

Halo is only kiddy because you have yet to grow up. I don't mean this in a condescending way mind you, being 17 is awesome, but really, calling Halo kiddy has nothing to do with Halo and everything to do with your maturity.

Halo: Reach might be decent. Its future installments of Halo that I worry about, since they won't be made by Bungie.

There are only a couple IPs that ever truly survived "the handoff", that I can recall -- namely Legacy of Kain (Crystal Dynamics took it from Silicon Knights), and Tomb Raider (again Crystal Dynamics.. took it from Core Design).

Every other major IP handoff I can think of went downhill, and fast.

To be fair, though, 3 of those 6 games are releasing within 2 years of each other (Wars, ODST and Reach).
