Games that made me give up?  I run into them from time to time.  Thunderforce II on the Genesis had me hit the wall.  And I count giving up different than not finishing.  I have ended up starting too many games and not finishing them.  I drop one and then move onto other ones.

Top rated game I never played?  World of Warcraft.  Sorry, just don't want to do it.  Throw in some other RPGs, like the Final Fantasy series also.

I made a "prediction" that while Half-Life was a great single player game, it wouldn't amount to much multiplayer, and I traded it in.  I also used to be on the belief that Atari platforms would do something, and the Dreamcast would hang on.

i also believe traditional rpg to be superior to video games.

Confession: Grandia 2 is among my favorite RPG's ever, and I love the story even though I recognize how horrible it is.

Amen, brother.  This was the only RPG that made me look for battles to get into.  Damn, this game was fun!

It took me 11 years to beat the original Legend of Zelda, and I put in at least 300 hours into that game. I just couldn't find those bloody silver arrows.
