I don't mind so much if you haven't played it. But the DLC is an essential part of the game and there is really no excuse for owning the game and not having the DLC.
The GOTY edition is great value if you haven't already played the game and is one of the best purchases you can make all year. I'm very pleased that you are getting it for xmas!
