because rebates are usually focused on items that have trouble selling.

The PS3 is selling like hotcakes right now and had recently a huge cut that everyone is aware of..

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !
