Seriously PC gamers need to grow up and stop complaining. P2P doesnt affect me as a console owner, and im pretty sure it will be the same on pc. ID software also have announced RAGE won't have dedicated servers, so it looks like ppl will have to get over it! it annoys me that everyone is being pathetic about it, the game is hardly a 0 for no dedicated servers!

This is such a stupid argument.  "It's good enough for me, therefore it has to be good enough for everyone else."  Well, I'm happy with my NES, so I don't think anyone should be playing games more advanced than the NES can deliver.

Geez...

Fine.  But for the sake of remotely looking intelligent, don't rate a game worse than a game that is near universally agreed to be one of the worst games EVER, that being Big Rigs.  And that is what happened with MW2.

You're right.  In my first post in this thread I agreed with you... MW2 as a game probably doesn't deserve that score.

But IW stabbed their customers in the back.  This is (part of) their backlash.

It's wrong to voice your opinion instead of being a sheep and buying in to the hype?

If you want to have a credible opinion, you need to be in the ballpark.  People want to drop MW2 into the 70s, even 60s, for lack of features, fine.  But to say it is worse than Big Rigs?  Do you even know how bad Big Rigs is?  Explain why MW2 on the PC is the WORST GAME EVER.  Big Rigs is in the top 5 in worst games ever.

Big Rigs at least makes you laugh?

And if the game breaks sales records, the backlash will appear to be useless.  Well, it might result in there no longer being a PC version of the Call of Duty series.

Also, those who are flaming PC users for giving such low scores need to get it through their heads that it's NOT about score accuracy, it's about sending a loud and clear message to Activision. Thus far, PC owners have pleasantly surprised me, as I expected the boycott to never work, but it's pretty clear that more PC owners are going to be spiteful than go back on their word and buy the game. This is exactly the response we need to avoid paying $60 for every goddamn game we buy.

What message do you send anyone if you rate MW2 worse than Big Rigs?  Only message I see here is that you are a poor judge of quality.  You send messages by not buying, and then writing the creators/publishers of the game telling them why.  You are also up for organizing a boycott if you like.  But showing that you don't have a clue as to how to rate a game, only sends a message that you are a poor evaluator of quality.

As someone who is admirers how Big Rigs failed so miserably, I am offended you drag MW2 down to its level.

Posts like this make me want to bang my head against a wall. I don't know how to make my point any clearer, but there will always be those who interpret things a certain way no matter what. Very difficult not to use argumentum ad hominem in such instances.

Currently playing: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, NBA2k11, Metal Gear Solid, Picross 3d

All this whining and bitching is pointless. Buy the game or don't. Stop acting like a bunch of pussies.

I don't see how selling 10 million when you could have sold 12 is a good thing.

And you know what I'd say if this was the end of the COD series on PC?
"They should've stopped after 4 and gone out on a high note."

There are better games for my money.  And other companies are more than aware of the discontent among the PC community over this game, and are actively pursuing those dollars.

If what you are trying to say is that PC owners, to send an effective message, need to NOT buy the game, instead of posting moronic ratings as they have, then I will agree with you to that message.

I dont see why you're still in her calling people fanboys, you're not a PC gamer and will never understand. So Happy fraggin´ with your 25 kills Tactical Nuke!

It isn't just the game.  It was the message by the publisher that their approach to software development was genius, and the level of suckitude they stuck in there than elevated it to worst ever (or at least in the running.  Superman 64 ranks up there also).  So, it is a bit of a paradox here.  MW2 on the PC may be forgettable, but it lacks the level of suckitude that makes it fit in the Big Rigs category.

JFYI, Myself and all my PC gaming friends are all boycotting the game.  And they really are (Steam tells me when a friend gets a new Steam game, and MW2 requires Steam).
