Forums - Gaming - Do old gaming franchises actually have value?

Fallout 3 should pretty much answer that question for you.

If done properly and the fan-base still exists, then a new sequel will provide the hype and publicity platform to success.

LOL, i was going to say that also:

example:

If you just look at the Fallout IP history:

fallout:

fallout: 2

fallout: tactic's

than

fallout: brotherhood of steel FOR XBOX, AND PS2

NOW

FALLOUT :3

AN SOON TO BE MORE FALLOUT GAME'S TO BE RELEASED

If the IP is done well with revamp's and there is a demand for it I do not see why the old IP would not hold value

I AM BOLO

100% lover "nothing else matter's" after that...

ps:

Proud psOne/2/3/p owner.  I survived Aplcalyps3 and all I got was this lousy Signature.

Around the Network

A lot of the older franchises were fondly remembered for their innovation and quality (Bionic Commando for example). There was hardly anything like it. Us older gamers hear the name and fond memories come back. I bought it for name recognition alone. If Dark Void were called Bionic Commando, maybe I'd be interested in it, too.
