Every day is a "pick on the PS3 day"

But well, you know... financial reports were just released... that might be the cause, but don't believe me! I'm just guessing...

Oh, when was it that news stations and other outside sources felt it necessary to report on them thar kiddy wittle videahgames?

Seriously, I just saw Fox News reporting on the PS3's price cut.

Uhhhh.....

Aren't you guys supposed to making up some new threat spreading across America? Like killer bees or something? Or was that already done?

Sony is in for a rough ride, now that it's pretty much proven that they'll go through at least a few unprofitable quarters. According to them, they'll continue to lose money at least until next fiscal year, and they don't seem too sure about being profitable after that either...

EDIT - btw, why don't they mention the 360 when talking about PS3's competition?

EDIT2 - oh, ok, they do mention it on the CNN video.

Funny is they also whined about PS2 dragging Sony down due to its expensive hardware back in the early stages of the previous gen.

Its a shame, they werent like this with the gamecube or the xbox.

Everybody always hammers the Wii and proposes mircale jumps for PS3 until official sales data comes in and then they praise Wii success and hammer PS3 for lack thereof. The hypocritical analysts, press, and people is something I've found very funny over this console wars thus far.

The ps3 will sell more when it is more attainable.  There will be alot of focus on the ps3 even now i.e. I wish I could have a ps3... but it's to expensive so I'll wait.  Or I want a ps3 but there is no games I want yet to justify the price.  In many ways people are thinking about the ps3, it's going to be in the back of their minds until it can be attainable. That is what happened to the ps2.  Ok! you had 3 consoles... Sega dropped out so it was mainly Sony vs Nintendo until xbox came which was late imo.  So you had a choice of the two which is easier. 

 Now that there is the choice of three solid consoles, it's alot harder for consumers to choose. The Wii is very attainable and in some ways the 360 is aswell. The ps3 is only starting to become attainble, but still has along way to go. When the ps3 does become attainable, then sales will start to rise and the gap between 360 and ps3 will close,  then comes the Wii. 

Honestly I must admit, I think short term the Wii is going to win hands down no questions asked!, but if Sony can hold on and last the 10 years etc it will be similar to the ps2.  We have to remember that there are many ps2 owners that have enjoied the ths ps experince and I firmly believe they are waiting to for the right price. Sony does have alot of mass appeal - not only for consoles/games but other electricals ie tv,phones, walkman/mp3 players.  Also given that the ps2 is still selling tells me alot of people still enjoy the playstion. 

I am a PS3 critic at times but this is jut unfair.........Perhaps there is no such thing as bad press so it will backfire. Not cool news guys

at least they are not lying, here a newspaper said that financial reports had been release and it said this: "The PS3 and WII make Sony and Nintendo to have a lot of money" it is translated from Spanish so i don't know if it is well translated, but it is incredible how the press here always benefit sony

 The funnier thing is they were right, less systems at a loss helps keep you in the red for quite a while.
