Forums - Gaming - To those thinking about getting the MW2 controller...

DON'T DO IT!

This is the worst, clunkiest, controller I have ever felt.  I bought it without trying it out first  (didn't have a demo to try) because I really liked the idea of the combat buttons.  However, the way they designed the controller makes them uncomfortable and pointless.

They made the top bumpers (L1/R1 for the PS controller) so huge and shrank the triggers.  Making it an uncomfortable stretch to switch from triggers to grenade trows.  Then the triggers themselves are so small and because of the large bumpers, they sit lower on the controller.  My fingers that would have used the combat buttons were squished because of the stupid trigger placement.

They ruined a good idea, not to mention the 360 one is wired only and the PS one doesn't have rumble...  If they just would have kept a regular 360 controller design and added the combat buttons in the same spots, it would have been perfect, but they way they did it absolutely ruined it and just hurt my hands to use.  Plus the sensitivity on the analog sticks is wrong... I played a game of team deathmatch and was embarrassed at how awful I was with this controller.  I switched back to my regular one and began owning as usual

I was so excited to try this controller, but it was a major flop.  DON'T BUY IT!

didnt they try this once before? or am i thinking of something else?

Why didn't they just paint a regular controller? And are these the controllers that come with the 360 bunlde?

Nah, you get two themed controllers that are first party.

The one he's talking about is by Mad Catz, which in my book means "steer clear".
