Ive never used D2D but i love Steam. No reason or need for me to switch

Thanks for the input people. I'll check in on D2D again in a while, right now it seems I have no reason to migrate anyway.

although I like Steam, I don't see going for another service as migration. each out there has some advantadge over the other, and even if some don't like it, I have an account in every service now. Like Xelloss said, modding is also an issue sometimes. I choose where I'll buy a game mostly based on price or portability. Even if Steam lets you download anywhere, you have to actually be connected. GamersGate allows me to install a game anywhere and move the setup files along with me.

the words above were backed by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

Well I've used Direct2Drive, and just recently signed onto Steam.

I signed on Direct2Drive, when they had they're turning 5 specials, tons of games for 5 bucks.
Not bad service, you do need to use they're downloading program, but all in all, no complaints.

As I said, just recently signed onto Steam, just noticed that Steam prices are comparable most of the time, but some genres I'm interested in seem more expensive there.

I game.  You game.  We game.

I'm a videogamer, not a fanboy, but have a special place for Nintendo.
