Forums - Gaming - Out of these five, which is the most insane way to heal in a video game?

The only reasonable ones are the ones where they claim it is;

a) Magic
b) Super advanced technology
c) Some form of inhuman power (ie. mutant, alien)

Otherwise it's just stupid.

Argh, I've been shot 50 times! I'd better go sit down for a while...

I'd be really interested in a FPS where if you get shot, you're pretty much screwed. You might not be able to use a limb - you might be dead. You certainly won't be alright.

I remember reading somewhere that Drake doesn't actually get hit. So just imagine the bullets flying past him until the last one that eventually kills him.

He doesn't really have health, just luck. If it's close to running out, he needs to take a quick break...

I do hope they will adress this in the future iterations of the series though. Maybe he's wearing some lucky charm he found somewhere.

It would be insanely hard and frustrating and would require a lot of time to master... * Remembering the days of Rogue Spear *

Try Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth. The Xbox version if you can, though the PC version is on Steam.

You will never have felt so vulnerable in your life, ever. You heal over a long time - usually the best you can do is pump yourself full of morphine so your character's pain doesn't make him limp so badly.

Yeah, about these being video games...

Video games you say? Those things are so unrealistic..... Grow up.

I blame obesity on gaming. Kids learn that eating a porkchop will make them feel better and give them full health. Thus- i dislike games where eating food cures you. Food is never the answer!

What do you eat if you're hungry?

Yet, today, America's leaders are reenacting every folly that brought these great powers [Russia, Germany, and Japan] to ruin -- from arrogance and hubris, to assertions of global hegemony, to imperial overstretch, to trumpeting new 'crusades,' to handing out war guarantees to regions and countries where Americans have never fought before. We are piling up the kind of commitments that produced the greatest disasters of the twentieth century.
