Screenshot comparisions suck.Seriously.

Same as with Forza 3 and Forza 2 where the screenshots dont show much difference, God of War collection > originals.

I'll wait for digital foundry.

Screenshots don't do a game justice. The video represented the games better.

I am getting this simply because I have never played the original PS2 games. I bought GoW on my PSP CoO and loved it...

But, truth be told, this is simply a blatant money grab by Sony and a move to try and get GoW fans to buy a PS3 this holiday season. If Backwards Compatibility worked on the new PS3's there wouldn't be a need to put this out. I can see the Sony marketing conversation right now:

GoW Developer: Well, GoW 3 won't be ready for the holiday season to seal the deal with Uncharted 2, Demon's Souls and the price drop... Oh and that other franchise milking title.... What was it... Oh yeah Ratchet & Clanks 3rd release in 3 years.

Marketer #1: Well, 360 will do something to deal with our price, and then ship Halo ODST, Forza 3, and Left 4 Dead 2. We need another exclusive to counter the Black Friday release of Left 4 Dead 2.

Marketer #2: Man if only we had a GoW...

GoW Developer: We could drudge up the GoW 1 and 2 code and touch it up for the PS3. Place some trophies, and we've got a GoW for the holiday.

Marketers: YES! Brilliant...

Lone Guy with a Conscious: But, if we would have kept BC this wouldn't be necessary.

Marketers: Shut the f--- up. Its GoW, no one will care! We'll fire you just like Microsoft fired your ass for saying Halo 3 ODST was a rip off as a full priced game. Just be glad we hired you.

Lone Guy with a Conscious: F--- you, I'll go work for Capcom or Bethesda. No, person with a conscious should work for MS, Sony, EA, or Activision.

The Reason why the colors are muted is because the ps3 has an option of Limited color and Full color. The stupidly put limited as the default. For anyone playing that hasn't done this go to your display settings and change it to Full Color i guarantee your gaming will be much better visually.

R&C QFB was download only title selling for 20$. And Halo Reach will be the 4th Halo game in 4 years, Activision release COD every single year along with Guitar Hero and EA with their sports games and NFS do the exact same thing.

Sony hardly milk their franchises like those guys I mentioned above.

AND it was the fan's demand that got them to do this. No BC was to cut costs right ? PS3 is STILL loosing money.

GOW's have always released in March so you're talking out you're ass. What's clear is if Sony wanted to MAG, Heavy rain and Gran Turismo could've released this year but they chose against it for whatever reason. I'd suggest market analysis suggested they didnt need those titles.

I can't believe how defensive and serious Sony fanboys are about their console...  I clearly poked fun at MS, Sony, Activision, and EA and you guys still put the Sony Defense Force capes on and go on the attack...  Sony is God...  Sony is God...  All hail Sony...
