On the official thread OP, I made it clear I went in not liking the cowboy humar. Like all things though It didn't matter in light of a great game. Eventually it sank in that the art is Lunar based.

The art wont really phase me though. I'll still check it out since it has similar gameplay to PSO. Does PS0 have co-op in it?



it does, it has online co-op but not local from what i've played so far, but then again i haven't played very much of 0 at all because like you agreed to, the art-style is very off-putting and strange.

while phantasy star portable isn't anything fantastic, phantasy star portable 2 has a really great update in the art-style area, it reminds me of a certain other jrpg franchise.



PS0 has ad-hoc and online play of 1-4 players, I would link the official thread but I don't want to do that to seraphic's thread... I mean actually I'll do that but in return I'll also link seraphics thread.

Nice, me and my bro are fans of the phantasy star series. I used to have universe for ps2, he has it for 360.

I actually really like what they did with PSP2. Better running animation compared to PSU, universal PP system, dodge roll and a nice gaurd system. I'm looking forward to it releasing in the west. I still have the demo on my psp.

Same here, have had the demo for a good while now, finally got online mode to work on the thing, and yes! the Running animation was such a small thing but you notice it almost right away when you start playing, that stupid "body forward first" running animation has been replaced by "watch my ass hypotize you" thing now, its much better but seems kinda girly at times, still its alot better then phantasy star universe and its expansion.

When you say "Universal PP system" what do you mean by that?

and YES the dodge roll and action guard are GREAT add-ons that make gameplay MUCH more strategic, lol i like you most likely own PSP1 and i play the demo of PSP2 alot more because its finally a game that can stand up to the big boys imo on PSP like Monster Hunter and Crisis Core. :)



I've yet to try online but yeah ive noticed the new run since be booted it up. My bro being the bigger fan was like "WTF??? New running animation!!" I noticed it too when i played. The running animation to me seems more anime-ish to me, not too girl. The sword and shield running animation is cool too.

The universal pp system is just being that you have all your weapon techs linked to that one gauge in PSP2 when in PSU, every weapon has their own PP gauge for weapon tech.

Have you gotten Double Sabers yet in the PSP2 demo? That weapon is godly.

And yeah that thing... so its called universal PP system as in Photon Points? oh god... yeah thats why i think its more focused on team-work now more then ever, while in PSP1 you have an insane amount of Photon skills to use because you have photon chagres to restore and such, but from what i gather, photon chagres are GONE in PSP2 if true we are screwed...

Because if you don't have good team-mates while playing online, its over, oh and have you noticed the AI is MUCH smater? the emilie and your parnet machine heal you if you command them to now AND they come to you automaticlly! awesome!



Did you know scape dolls cant be bought anymore? Thats out the window so it's definitely gonna be harder. The difficultly on multiplayer mode is also increased as monsters and bosses do more damage and have more hp.

The double sabers drop off of those flying jellyfish looking things that adapt to you weapon element.

And wow, i haven't used my partner machine yet. This game is gonna be awesome. On dissidia and MHPU, i have 200+ hours and this ones gonna get the same treatment.
