Is the first game good as a single player game because I don't know anyone who still uses their psp?

Ah, as a fan of all things PSU related, i must say in my honest opinion Phantasy Star Portable (1) which came out earlier this year for t3h NA's was the best PSU game to date, it has nearly all the content the first game AND its expansion had plus MORE exclusive weapons, armor, photon arts(style-ish skills), and so on and so forth.

They could have made things better in PSP1 but its currently the best in the PSU Series for what it is, it also had its own exclusive story mode that the other 2 games dont have, where you take place as a main character, 2nd to only 1 actually which is really neat, the player decides the ending and many other actions in the game.

Overall its the best PSP game this year with only Dissidia: Final Fantasy Beating it for me by a small margin. i bet if i could put my own created PSP1 character in dissidia, i could pwn everyone even Sephiroth!

Er... at anyrate yes Phantasy Star Portable is a fine game for PSP. very fine...

Though the issues it had will ALL be fixed and then some in Phantasy Star Portable 2, because i've played the demo and they fixed ALOT of thing, but with the things fixed some... other issues pop'd up to replace them but whatever. :D

At least for the time being, it's really fun, gives a nice idea of what was so good about PSO.

I know PSU created another fan base by ditching what worked in PSO, they changed the content, the game was thrown out similar to the jump from PS to PSO.

But PSU basically became an instance based MMO, which PSO wasn't.

PSO = Diablo
WoW = PSU

That's the difference. Check it out sometime. *bumping*

Ahh i see, so PSO was basiclly a Dark Kingdom i never played diablo games because i dislike demonic based games but i've been told untold legends games have near the same battle style.

Well from the sound of it PSO sounds like something i'd like, but im a universe/portable fan first and foremost like you said but making PSU they made a new fanbase, of course PSU and its expansion are really lack-luster overall but phantasy star portable is by far my fave game on PSP this gen so far. and with all this new info on Phantasy Star Portable 2 and all the stuff they fixed from 1 you can understand my loathing of other phantasy stars... >_>

And i have Zero, i dislike its art-style so far, its gameplay is neat and fun but the style doesn't fit.

I have a feeling that PSP2 and 1 are both more similar to PSO except the gameplay may be more PSU while the way the game is expressed is more Diablo style or PSO style.

This may be why it's good. I don't own a PSP so I wont ever know.

Why don't you have a PSP? it has great exclusives.

I honestly don't have the time for handhelds, DS barely gets attention and when it does it takes the place of when I would play consoles.

In other words playing PS0 actually gets in the way of playing NSMBWii.

Guess im not the only one, I hate the art style of Zero. I wanted to check it out since im a fan of the PSO series. The game play in episode 1 & 2 were great.
