The Sky intergration for the UK had alot of questions. Could we watch any channel Live? Does it work the same? Is it a better easier interface? Can we watch in HD? Can we do away with our existing HORDE of crap under the Telly or in your room?
Answer simply is YES YES YES YES.
The Sky 360 player is awesome. It's better than the existing Sky boxes, and has everything in it's place to find it. If you are lucky enough to have a new 250 GBHDD then recording HD channels is bliss. You can watch Any channel you subscribe to Live on the 360. Essentially it's the same as your Sky box, but with bigger HDD and already intergrated HD capability. No need to pay £150 for a HD Sky Box. Basically you can sit the 360 under your telly. You dont need a DVD player, Dont need a Sky Box, or any other HD medium under there. From this 1 box, you can watch and record Sky HD. Watch HD films of over 1000+ films and also play HD games.
What does it cost. If you already have Sky Multiroom in your house it's completely free to have Sky Player on your 360 in your bedroom for example. If you dont have Sky at all then you pay whatever it is to Sky to normal subscribe. The ONLY extra cost is Live GOLD. £48/ year ( Thats equivelant of Sky full package for 1/month in the UK ). Well look at the interface yourself heres the video. I'm certainly changing my front room in my house. Also no dish needed.
