7-1 yankees in the 6th.  11 outs to go.  I'm starting to feel it.

Here they thought Petite was going to be the tired one.

Edit: Just as I typed this, Ryan Howard hits a fucking 2-run homer. Damn I need to keep my mouth shut.

HA! I remember the first half of the season when the Jays were killing teams. That seems like ancient history now. What happened man?

At least we have a seemingly competent general manager now. All we have to do now is get a manager that every single roster player doesn't hate and get our payroll back to what it was two years ago, and we should be right back to 3rd in the division where we belong

I'm still rooting for the Rockies! (I've been a fan since I knew what baseball was, I didn't just jump on the bandwagon after the awesome 2007 run EDIT: and by that I mean since I was very little. Winning back to back little league baseball tournaments ftw!).

Still though, my friend hates the Yankees, so I've been rooting for the Phillies, but I don't care much who wins.

I have no idea how they were winning in the first place. The injuries to the pitching staff were ridiculous - at one point all 5 starters were out. Pitchers coming up from AAA and AA were starting and pitching well. Wells and Rios weren't hitting like guys in the 3rd and 4th spot.

The beginning month or so was because of Hill, Lind, Rolen and Scutaro. Scutaro gets on base, and one of the three drove him in. They couldn't keep it up all season. If Wells and Rios hit moderately well, something to the tune of 20-25 HR/70-80 RBI I think that they could have easily won the wild card.

Oh well, at least Riccardi is gone - I never liked him. Hopefully we manage get something for Halladay.

5 outs to go baby
