^Why did the beta kill your hype?

The game isn't really all that massive in scope.  The maps are so spread out and the players are so spread out that it never really feels like you are playing with that many people.  So the game doesn't really feel like you are playing in a large scale conflict, but more like isolated firefights on the same map.

So, when you take away the large scale combat, the game is basically just an inferior version of modern warfare.  It can be fun, the gameplay is solid, but I was hoping that it would feel more like 2 armies going up against each other instead of just a couple of squads.

That is how it killed my hype.  The game is still well made, just not what I was hoping.

If it wasn't spread out, then you would be complaining that it's to cramped and you die alot more. AKA Resistance 2.

I really like resistance 2's multiplayer.  I think it is awesome.  I was hoping for more of that in mag, but no.

Anyway, the point is what is the purpose of having all these people on the same map if you don't interact with them?  Like I said, solid game, but it really is just an inferior version of modern warfare.  Since you are basically interacting with the same number of people as you are in modern warfare.

I think it will be fun, but I'm no longer hyped for it and will be content to wait for it to get cheap before I buy it.

It's more like a war.

It's not 256 people going at it in a small map.
