I prefer the Star Trek bundle. Great movie.

lets not get hasty with the term great movie,   paths of glory, brazil, and empire strikes back are great movies. the new trek was merely good. man id so buy a brazil 360, ...... terry gilliam rocks, or any kubrick themed console ......

dr. strangelove console!!!! man that would rock

I definetly agree with doggod the new star trek isn't all that great compared to the old star treks, now those were great movies, the new one was just to childish (for a younger generation or people that havent seen the old ones)

anyone who says they thought the new star trek was "incredible or amazing" is either young or hasent seen the old ones.

"In your opinion" gaming_addict24. How old are you might I ask, 24 by your screen name or something else? I have seen everything made that is Star Trek and am pretty able to say I have a solid opinion. The problem here is you can't claim fact over something that is subjective.

As to your post...

Too young: I happen to be 38 and as stated above saw almost everything Trek related in its first release/run (the few before I was born I missed until after I was born).

Hasn't seen the old ones: Hmm see above. I have seen everything made that is Trek including the specials. I never said it was BETTER than the others, because every movie has its place. In the light of it being a new vision, that was explained well in the movie, it was very well done. There were things in each Trek movie that were amazing to that movie. One thing I loved in Star Trek 2009 was the space scenes actually felt epic in size, very massive. I also enjoyed the story personally.

Anyway, to each their own but you kind of called me out with your bad generalization statement.

"and so it begins"

u obviously have a great opinion in gaming but aperently not movies (star trek (2009)

so although you maybe the only person in the world over 37 who likes star trek (2009).

what you said was really an overstatement (in my opinion)

didn't mean to offend anyone (just trying to tell the world what really is)

oh and u have great taste in food.

LOL you didn't offend me but I still have to say the "trying to tell the world what really is" is a tad hmm, presumptuous. The thing is I love Trek. I have loved every single thing they have thrown at me. I love all the Trek movies. I am not the only one over 37 that liked it btw lol. Thanks on the food comment, so do you I have very good taste in movies, but then again there is that word "subjective" that you need to look into. Thanks on the games comment, same back at you. Anyway, to sum it all up, no harm/no foul and you are good with me (even if wrong IMO about Trek 2009).

@damnd: Yeah the movie was incredible and I am excited about the next one. Did you see that Kirk's dad is going to be Thor? I agree that people need to learn that subjective concepts cannot ever have a "fact" or "winner" established but then again we live in a world where people kill others for being different.

Yea I saw that but more importantly, he is going to be Jed Eckert in the new Red Dawn remake due out in 2010.  I really loved the original Red Dawn.  And since were pretty close in age I would bet you know the movie I am talking about!  Patrick Swayze nailed that part so lets see how old Kirk's Dad does!

I have a ton of movies on my "favorite" list because I can't pick a single one, just love movies. Red Dawn is on that list though, amazing movie for the time and I love it. I am slightly worried what they will do with it in a remake though, when it came out the cold war was major and while the movie was fantasy it "could have" happened to some degree. A new version won't have the same effect but I have hopes for it.
