Damn, if it were only $100 I would send it off tomarrow. I may try and haggle the price down to $10 or $20 then do it. I am just worried it would YLOD again on me though. I honestly don't have the spare $300 to get a slim though. I guess I could hold off till tax return time......

yeah as you can clearly see YLOD is really ... grr... i mean damn atleast MS will fix the issues were its due but sony... i can't belive i was a fanboy of these guys when PS3 launched...

But yeah tax return time would be best, you have a 360 so you'll be fine with your gaming needs til then...

I say save up for a slim or just keep your 360 as your main console.

I do find it a bit messed up on sony's part that their competitor fixes their broken consoles for free for 3 years, yet sony's warranty is only for 1 year.

Wow, Sony's policy sucks.  Luckily i have never really had any problems out of sony consoles.  My ps2 is going on 6 years,  But Sony needs to take its consumers into consideration.  It seems like they don't even mind slapping on the $150 price tag imo.

LoL,  did you at least get to finish uncharted 2 first?  That would suck.  I remember when I got the RROD I just had stuck in my new copy of Gears of War 2 and I didn't get to play it for a couple weeks.  I was so upset at the time.
