Forums - Sony - Would it be better if Sony saved gt5 for next holiday?

about the OP :

it is a VERY VERY VERY GOOD question I have been asking for myself
I would say that, now, they have waited too much and it is time to release.
If, back in september TGS they would have said : GT5 for Xmas10, then OK
but they have given a date : early 09

sure GT5 sales will suffer a bit from not being on holidays

sure Sony timing is just amazingly crappy

but it is time for release ... no delay anymore or even Gt lovers may begin to stop waiting
and "forget" GT on the side of the road ...

By the way : sorry for the triple posts ...

Sony have rarely released there biggest titles in the holidays. Sony as a platform holder use there biggest titles to push hardware sales at different points of the year. As far as next fall goes we know very little as to what Sony have planned.

the same could be said for God of War 3. Then again maybe they need something to push both software and hardware sales during March when sales are usually slow.
OBVIOUSLY, NO !just check the chartz and you will see the MONSTRUOUS gap in softwaare sales between the monster GT and
the little pet Kratos. you can't compare them

Yeah, but it's Kratos' job to kill gods.
