Well my mother always talks to me online, she misses me seeing as I'm two states away. Anyway she asked me what I wanted for christmas and I told her I either wanted Left 4 Dead 2 or The Orange Box. I told her to just get it for me on steam.
Obviously her not being a gamer she doesn't know what it is, so i had to spend about an hour with her to get her an account, and to get steam working for her. (She's not very tech savy) She was having so much trouble cause she thought the steam she downloaded was in a web browser :P
Anyway we finally get her up and running on steam and i tell her how she can do gifts with it. So she ssaid I'll buy it one of them for me on christmas. So im thinking yeah, 50 bucks i get to save. Then about 10 minutes after I'm on the phone I get an email saying someone bought me a gift :P
Mom still doesn't realize what digital download is and she thought she could set it so it ships to me for christmas....so know i have a pre-order on left for dead 2 and will be able to play it day one.
haha im just gonna go along with it and pretend i didn't get the gift until christmas. :P make it so whenever she buys me other stuff on steam i get it early as well.
