No, they aren't afraid of spending big over-exaggerated ad money, they are just clearly terrified by the PS3.

Who cares of pourcentages. American Idol still has 2-3 times more viewers than X Factor. |
so how would an American Idol ad help to promote the Xbox360 in UK?
Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

lol
I just said that they would have more viewers if they were to advertise the 360 during American Idol. I know it's not the same country and I know UK people don't watch American Idol but it's not right to say that X Factor is as big. It might be bigger when talking about proportions but not in terms of viewers.

MS wants to advertise the Xbox 360 in UK and thats the best freaking way to do so. The OP just said X factor for the UK is basically as big as American Idol for the US. And he is right. So would you please stop bitching now?

Bitching what? I think you just don't understand.
I agree that X factor for the UK is as big if not bigger as American Idol for the US but what I said (I'll highlight it so that it looks more clear to you) is that what's important for a company is the amount of people and not a pourcentage of population or a proportion.
Now let's try to see if you understand with a question: Which ad would cost the most (in terms of money of course), an X factor ad or an Amercan Idol ad?
It sure is the best solution to advertise the 360 in UK but we were comparing both shows. No need to get sentimental over this.
Bad move!
The cost of an entire ad break will not establish XBOX any more than half of that same ad break. Which is why this is a "waste" of money. But sure, if you got the money to spend go for it. But this is not cost efficent.
MS always pushing Activision games on their platform.

So Microsoft UK should advertise in America to increase its sales?
Anyone else seeing the logical flaw here?
