Forums - Microsoft - NetFlix in Canada!

Alright with the announcement that PS3 is getting NetFlix I decided to look at the service. I heard you pay one low monthly fee and can stream movies straight to your X-Box. So of course today I decided to look into my 360 and see if I could get the service. However when I looked at the movies section their are movies I can rent for like 400 points a night (Ripoff) or you can buy them for more.

But nowhere could I find NetFlix. So I asked my friend a PS3 fan and he said that Canada's Netflix service on Live got discontinued and then I seemed to remember hearing about that. So I was wondering is NetFlix on the 360 in Canada and if so how can I get an account and start watching movies/tvshows. I don't want to pay 400points every time I want to rent a movie! 9$ sounds so good I really want to sign up ASAP!

Well I looked into it, I guess I shoulda done more research before asking forum members. It seems NetFlix does not operate In Canada or the UK. That really sucks I want a streaming service like that. Why should I rent movies for 400 points each when American's can pay 9$ a month. Man I'm really peeved off that our neighbours to the south get something that us and our neighbours the the east can only dream of!

Netflix has always been a US-Only (United States of America) service.

Well that sucks for the other 95% of the world. Up here to rent a movie in High def it cost 720points and to rent one in standard its 400 points a night. Its such a ripoff when you Americans get unlimited movies for only 9$ a month!

Well, there are limitations to the selection of movies on Netflix. So if you are wanting to watch a new release, you will not watch it streaming on Netflix.

Other than that though, Netflix instant streaming is fantastic.

You could probably get it if you had a US proxie
