As egotistical as it might be, I hope not. It would send a message to Sony telling them that people aren't willing to buy products from the past generation when they could simply play it on the current platform, if it had the backwards compatibility they took out.

I own those two games and my PS3 has emulated BC and I don't like playing them because:

1. When in progressive wide mode the black bars are still there.

2. No trophies

3. Graphics look a bit fuzzy.

That said I will buy the GoW collection and I predict a lot of people will as well.  If this goes well I hope Sony will release remastered versions of PS2 classics, the emulated BC is kinda crummy and as I've said no trophies.  Trophies == bragging rights to PSN friends, lacking it tremendously lowers playability for most PS2 games.

1 million lol when did a collection sell that much. If it does 300k then its good imo.

For what it is it will sell good. And that is basically 2 greatest hits games that are 3-5 years old being packaged together for 40 with a graphics revamp and a few bonuses.

It wouldn't be all too surprising if it crosses 1 million because of what game it is but for a rehash of old games 500k would be great.
