As far as headphones go, I used these when I hooked up my PS3 to a monitor: Turtle Beack Earforce X4.
They're made for the 360 but that really doesn't matter, I think it just means you can't use the mic on the PS3 (I've never actually tried). They are wireless and surround sound though and they are very comfortable. You just hook your PS3 up to the monitor through HDMI and then hook these up to your PS3 through optical and it works great.

yupp, meant some speakers, but you have to watch that they have an "input" (not all have those.)
But of course, Headphones could work too :)
i dont know exactly, i "think" that every Screen with HDMI has also HDCP, but if you buy your screen Online, HDCP compatibility stands commonly in the description, and if you buy it in a shop, you can ask there. :)

Actually I have only seen a very few screens on the net who have HDCP, so I decided to go to a store tomorrow and ask. thx anyways for your time
