Being inferior to God of War III is common to most games.

Wait. You even press R1 to save in Dante's Inferno? That can't just be a coincidence.

Obviously Dante's won't be as good as the game it's ripping off, but it still looks pretty damn great. I will be enjoying both games (and Bayonetta) early next year.

There is high probability that GoW3 story would be better AND we are talking HackNSlash !!

Dantes Inferno seems to have a much better setting and atmosphere. But I'm sure both games will be great.

Dont kill me for this, but i never really played God of War. :X (just a few levels.. long time ago as i visited a friend)

But i preordered the GoW Collection, maybe my opinion changes after finishing GoW I&II. :)

Yes, as I said, you are referring to the settings ... I do agree there are good.

the setting seems good (Hell ...) but I have the felling that GoW3 is holding back a lot compared to the
promotionnal video we have seen about Dante Inferno.

Atmosphere ? Yeah, dante's atmosphere is better than battles on moving titans on god of war......
Much better setting ? Better than mythological Greece with its rich variety of beasts and creatures.
Oh yes. I am not sarcastic at all.

I think Greek mythology and the myths of hell are about equal for setting and atmosphere. So it will all come down to execution (pun intended) on all the major points: gameplay, graphics and story.

Personally I stayed away from God of War on PS2 for a long time because I thought it would be rather one dimensional in its game play. But when I finally got to playing it I was pleasantly surprised at its ability to vary the hack'n'slash game style; including the ability to inject subtlety and tactics to the game play insofar as it's possible for hack'n'slash to be subtle. The story more than carried it's weight to keep you interested in Kratos as a character. And there's really no need to talk about graphics.
