A lot of you guys keep on arguing on which platform KH3 would land but have guys ever thought it could be PS3/Wii? It could happen and both SE and Disney would be happy. 
I would have said Wii but the DS got a shitty spin off while the PSP got what is basically KH0 so another mainline KH game on a Playstation platform. No idea why DQ X is being mentioned, it was announced when the Wii was selling gangbusters but now it's selling like crap. Game is not coming out for a long long time still and the platform could and most probably will change.
KH3 is probably just a thought in Nomura's head so no idea why people are worrying about it, let Versus come out and then worry about KH3. Fact that there is a teaser in BBS tells me we are going to have another spin-off so basically anything but KH3, Nomura will not let anyone make that besides his own team.
KH3 will be a next gen game IMO...............yep on a next gen console. We ARE talking a 2012+ release, Versus is not out anytime soon let alone KH3. If it is a current gen console game then it's going to be a PS3 or Wii exclusive, we shall see if I am correct in the nect 3-5 years. ;)

Yet, every non gamer that I know who has played KH has stated that the game is indeed hard and that is not user friendly when it comes to it's gameplay and learning curve. So that's why to me, considering KH a casual game, that any one can pick, finish and learn in a flash, isn't quite right. It's not hardcore too, but since both separations aren't black and white, I guess KH dips in a shade of grey. I just disliked the way he derogatoraly categorized the game, had he said it was casual only, I wouldn't disagree, then he added the rest. |
Your the one who see's "Casual" as derogatory.
The games are made to target Casual people who like Disney. Period. You can not like it, but that's who their target audience is.
The game is meant for people who like Disney a lot... not a hardcore segment of RPG players. I mean, why do you think they're DISNEY characters... and not say a collection of characters from many different RPGs?
The reason it did so well is because it was targeted towards casuals instead of your usual crossover RPG games.

This is what you said, and this is what I consider derogatory in your post, it's completely the anti-thesis of what KH is, and yet, it's what everyone who wants to diss KH uses as a weapon against it. Don't try to put this one on me, since I also said that there aren't definite separations, Casual and Hardcore are just too simple minded, there are too many shades, too many bridges between them, breaching whatever separation they could possibly have.
You may not have meant that phrase to be derogatory or you may have, the point is, it's out of place.

That's funny. I could of swore the main characters were a bunch of kids... and Micky Mouse... and they did stuff.
