i think PS3 will make the race...why?because in the end of Birth By Sleep they will be a Secret Trailer...definaly for KH3...and why they should do a KH3 trailer for Wii in the end of a PSP game...if it would be for Wii than Birth By Sleep had a earlier release date than 358 days and they would do the trailer in the end of the DS game!

The reason PS consoles have gotten the main series is because the PS2 was the most successful at the time. Why put it on the GC/Xbox when you have a huge fanbase on PS2? Of course, this gen games have been jumping all over the place.

I'll just add in this quote from Warren Spector on Epic Mickey and rest my case.

“Well, think about it. Would you really want to tackle convincing Halo or Grand Theft Auto players that they want to be Mickey Mouse? Would you really want to do that? In terms of finding a congenial audience, let’s go for a platform that’s known for Mario and Link and now Sonic. Come on. Honestly, with the unit sales on the hardware, it was kind of a lucky happenstance. We made the call to go to the Wii long before it was clear that the Wii was going to be, at least for now, the best-selling platform."

maybe a disc can hold more then a cartridge.?

Not like KH is super graphically intensive. It relies on its art style which is why it holds up even today IMO.

Soriku...KH has always been more Disney focused...that didnt stop it from selling on PS2, I hope tryin to infer that KH is a casual focused series?..im alittle lost at ur point


Umm...the PS2 was the most successful system last gen and the most casual friendly so it should've been obvious it would've sold well on PS2?

If you notice how much series have jumped around this gen (DQ, MH, etc.)...no.

KH is not casual franchise......does anybody consider KH casual???

Pretty much everybody considers KH "casual" that i've talked too... it's about a bunch of kids and Micky Mouse running around doing stuff... with a sword... that's just a key.

I mean, did you see the commercials for KH and KH2?  It was all "Hey look disney characters!  Play our game and you can see them!'

I mean seriously, who does this commercial look like it's appealing to "The Hardcore" or people who have watched a lot of Disney movies.

 

KH it's basically like a Japanese "Mix up" series like Super Robot wars.  It's main goal is to pull in fans of those series to play the game.

Have you even played any of the KH games? You do know that they are far from casual right? Sure the presentation may look like it, but it's core gameplay is far more complex than a casual game. It has an intrinsic action-RPG mechanism with lots of customization options, character development, micromanagement and completion parameters.

ill respectfully disagree here. ive met way more non gamers that played kh than gamers that played kh.

I never said that only gamers play KH. Even my GF has played KH. Yet, every non gamer that I know who has played KH has stated that the game is indeed hard and that is not user friendly when it comes to it's gameplay and learning curve.
So that's why to me, considering KH a casual game, that any one can pick, finish and learn in a flash, isn't quite right.
It's not hardcore too, but since both separations aren't black and white, I guess KH dips in a shade of grey. I just disliked the way he derogatoraly categorized the game, had he said it was casual only, I wouldn't disagree, then he added the rest.
