 But, we're committed to the PS3. We want the PS3 to be successful, and we've had a great history with the PlayStation. So it's a PS3 exclusive title, now having said that ... questions like this don't bother me. The questions that bother me are ones like, "Are you worried that the Xbox 360 is stealing exclusives from the PS3" or whatever.

Being someone who does advertising and PR, this screams "Good God, I hope this sells well. I really hope that the PS3 picks up and allows us the financial leeway to not have to spend millions porting this game."

Basically, nothing was answered in this interview. I doubt Konami will port the game unless the PS3 is ~10m consoles behind the 360 at the end of the year, which I don't think will happen.

But I definitely think they're considering it, especially since you know MS is knocking on their door with a boatload of money sitting in the harbor.

Wow, that one I didn't know about. I did a little google check to check what you were saying, and wikipedia has this to say:

The game was also released for the PlayStation 2 on 15 November 2001.[2] A Sega Dreamcast port was made, but was cancelled just 2 weeks before release. The fully-playable Dreamcast version has since been leaked onto the Internet.[9]

Depends how many care about MGS anymore. Last I played was MGS2. 3 ddnt bother me at all.

Well I think sales for MGS4 will reach 4 million lifetime maybe even 5 million like MGS.

Did anyone expect him to say "MGS4 is going to be a timed exclusive".

They will maximize sales for PS3 and then decide what to do based on contracts with Sony they may have and if they have the freedom how they think a 360 version would do financially. None of them care about Sony vs. Microsoft.

They care about making a cool game and making cool bucks for doing it.
